FL STUDIO ASIO DRIVER BIG NOISE SOFTWARE
Let's start by briefly recapping on why software buffers are needed.
FL STUDIO ASIO DRIVER BIG NOISE PC
The ideal setting can depend on quite a few different factors, including your particular PC and how you work with audio, while the parameters you're able to change, and how best to do it, can also vary considerably depending on which MIDI + Audio application you use. Setting the correct buffer size is crucial to achieving optimum performance from your audio interface: if it's too small you'll suffer audio clicks and pops, while if it's too large you'll encounter audible delays when performing in real time. Newcomers to computer music soon cotton on to the fact that this is because of 'latency' and 'buffer sizes', but are often left wondering just what to adjust and what the 'best' setting is. Sometimes this delay may be as much as a second, making 'real time' performances almost impossible. The SOS Forums are still awash with queries from new PC musicians asking why they get a delay between pressing a key on their MIDI keyboard and hearing the output of a soft synth on their computer. If you're tempted to go and make a cup of tea in the gap between pressing a note on your keyboard and hearing it play on your soft synth, you need help, and quickly. Here you can see the Control Panels for the Echo (left) and Emu (right) ranges, as launched from the Cubase SX Device Setup window. I guess I'll keep using Fl Studio ASIO and only use ASIO4ALL if I need super good latency then I'll temporarily switch to ASIO4ALL and back.Choosing ASIO drivers, where possible, should help you achieve the lowest latency, using the Control Panel window provided by your particular audio interface. The comments in this post explain that with FL Studio ASIO other programs can still make sound but ASIO4ALL blocks them to get even better latency. It seems that the FL Studio ASIO driver is the default device used by FL Studio and I switched it to ASIO4ALL without realizing it was what I was using before. I'm out of ideas.Įdit 4: So I found this thread and the comments made my issue pretty clear.

I'm gonna download ASIO4ALL and reinstall it.Įdit 3: Welp. I opened Chrome next, video play sound without issue. I launched FL Studio first, works fine with my Primary Sound Driver as the selected device. I've uninstalled it from my computer, restarted, and everything works fine again.
It never did that before.ĭoes anyone have any idea what that could be?Įdit 2: I can confirm the issue is with ASIO4ALL. I've also noticed that whenever I run FL studio on now it gives me a Windows notification saying ASIO4ALL is enabled or some shit. If first thing I open up FL studio, then FL studio works fine and dandy, but other programs that I run after don't make any sound whatsoever. If first thing after start up I open Chrome and play a video, then open FL studio, the issue is immediately back. I've tried turning my pc on and off several times, this is what I found: I'm 99% sure I've put all settings now on how they were before. I fucked around with some of the other settings trying to see if they'd fix the problem but to no avail. I didn't touch any other settings until after the problem presented itself. Now there's some issue where FL Studio is playing every sound extremely loud and distorted. When having my laptop speakers as the device of choice, playback wouldn't work at all, the song position would stay in one place even after playback was unpaused. I switched to my Realtek speakers then back to ASIO4ALL v2 once or twice. I went into audio settings looking for something, and I messed about with the input-output device a couple times.
